On behalf of the organizing committee of the 7th IEEE Vehicle Power and Propulsion Conference (VPPC), it is our utmost pleasure to welcome you for a major event sponsored by IEEE Power Electronics and Vehicular Technology Societies and dedicated to Powering Sustainable Transportation in the beautiful city of Chicago.

It is our great pleasure to be hosting the International IEEE Vehicle Power and Propulsion Conference (VPPC’11) for the second time in Chicago, IL, drawing scientific experts in academia and industry from all over the world. The conference will be held in Downtown Chicago, IL, at the J.W. Marriott Chicago, located at 151 West Adams, Chicago, IL, USA. The conference will bring together individuals from academia, industry, and government to discuss and exchange ideas in the fields of sustainable transportation systems, electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, as well as air, sea and undersea vehicles.
